The most popular outfit choice of the month:
I had an event to go to in June and this was the outfit I went with after lots of lovely feedback on Instagram. It was probably my most asked about outfit for the rest of the month. It was a River Island find and made from a scuba fabric. This year the brand started to extend the main line in parts to a size 22 and an XL ( being a size 20-22).
As a long torso I tend to struggle to find jumpsuits that sit correctly but this worked a treat! Below are some other ideas if you feel like a jumpsuit might be what you need in your wardrobe. My only key takeaway is that unless something is so unique for summer, try opt for jumpsuits that are timeless enough that you can wear them later on in the year too.
Other jumpsuit ideas I’m loving :
Red jumpsuit sizes 8-20 here / Purple halter neck jumpsuit: sizes 8-26 here.
Smart Summer Workwear:
Finding smart summer workwear isn’t easy! Especially at the moment when it’s random things in the summer sale or holiday fashion. This dress was part of my mini Zara haul last month. Something that could be workwear appropriate or restyled for a workwear event too.
Below are too other styles that caught my eye too:
White tailored linen dress sizes 18-24 here / sizes 8-22 here
The Anti Rub Shorts:
This was a collab in the last week of June with Snag tights. They are such a beautiful brand a just seem so genuine when it comes to problem solving issues for women. Their anti chaffing shorts are just the most beautiful quality and even under white they can’t be seen! If you're someone who really struggles in the warmer weather months with thigh rubbing, these come in all different colours. But what I liked the most was how cooling they felt when you wear them.
They come in a huge range of colour choices too from classic styles to the more colour popping brights - here
The Easy Summer Dress :
This is the perfect throw on dress that will have you covered for some many things. Last minute Summer invite somewhere? Summer BBQ? Holiday evening out, or simple but pretty day to night summer style. It works with lots of shoe and sandal styles and it has a stretch waist too.
It’s just a H&M find and I have to say they’ve a really great selection at the moment too. Also it was good to see they’ve finally offered an express shipping option. On regular deliveries I find it could be up to 10 days to receive it, so if you’re in a last minute style pickle and you need something quickly this is now an option!
The dress I’ve linked here * up to size XXL and on sale too. I’m wearing the XL which would fit 18-20 comfortably.
You can also find a full run through over on my You Tube channel of this dress and others for anyone looking for ideas and fit details.
The Top Inspo:
The top above was actually Boohoo curve find. Lovely fit and quality and true to size. These styles work really well with a simple cami or bodysuit underneath. Equally the shape and the length of the tops works perfectly with shorts if you wanted more of a holiday look.
The above is sold out but I found two similar below:
Pink frill top sizes 16-28 here* / Red frill top sizes 16-28 here*
Other Summer too styles I’m loving:
Scarf print top sizes 8-22 here */ long sleeve brown boho top sizes 6-26 here
Your Budget Beauty Makeup Favourite This Month:
Setting spray can be so hit and miss for me personally. Some I’ve found over the years make my foundation look patchy, and others too matte. This is just a Catrice makeup find - it’s called Shake, Fix & Glow. It has a glitter pigment in it that’s extremely subtle, but when I say it gives you the most fabulous extra glow - especially on those ultra tired mum days.. it’s a miracle worker! It’s really easy to come across in stores and online but most importantly… it’s only around €7.50 and you only need to apply a small amount too!
The Primark Find Of The Month :
This dress is a summer knitted style. Not something I’d traditionally go for, but I instantly fell in love with it. For €28 it looks incredibly more expensive in real life … and fabulously comfy too! It gives the illusion of being more fitted than it is and it comes in a bright summer green version too.
More budget friendly finds in this reel below if you missed it.

I got stuck in a dress.. in a Zara fitting room this week!
Yes you read that headline correctly. My endless “research project” I gave myself this year was to find more size friendly options in Zara. So in doing so I’ve to keep an open mind. The dress in question looked like it would be reasonably workable. Alas, when it came to pulling it across my bust.. it felt like I was in an epytian maze. Something you’d i…
